Ten (10) more Colleges receive T-TEL Challenge Fund

A grant signing ceremony has been held at the NCTE Council Chamber for the disbursement of GH₵ 769,044.00 to ten (10) Colleges of Education to implement innovative interventions that would improve the pedagogical skills of student teachers. This brings the total number of colleges receiving the T-TEL Challenge Fund to twenty-three (23).

The recipient colleges are Holy Child College of Education,Takoradi; Tumu College of Education,Tumu; Wesley College of Education,Kumasi; Mampong Technical College of Education, Ashanti Mampong and SDA College of Education, Asokore-Koforidua. The rests are St Joseph’s College of Education, Bechem; Akatsi College of Education, Akatsi; St Louis College of Education,Kumasi; E.P College of Education, Bimbilla and St Theresa's College, Hohoe.

Dr. Rosie Lugg, Deputy Programme Manager commended colleges for winning the grant awards and urged them to work hard to achieve the anticipated results of their project.

A representative of the Executive Secretary of the National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE), Mrs. Hilda Asante said it is one thing winning a grant and another implementing the project. She was positive about the competence of the teams at the disposal of the colleges and trusted that they would deliver results.

Vice President of the Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) and Principal of the E.P College of Education (Bimbilla), Mr. Abu-Wemah expressed appreciation to the UK aid and the Government of Ghana for the support. He equally pledged their commitment to ensure that the funds are put to right use to achieve the objectives set for it.

Congratulations to the colleges that just received their grants, especially Boscos, EP Bimbilla and Tumu. I hope this will encourage you and staff to put in more efforts. I urge the other colleges to work hard so you can be part of the next batch of colleges to receive the funds
