The College was started by the Church of Christ as an evolving cutting-edge center for teacher in-service training. This effort was complimented and enhanced by the Government of Ghana through the absorption of this college as a public institution in 2015. The vision of this colleges is to emerge as a distinguished center of excellence for preparing world class teachers for better schools development.
